Review: Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

I can't believe it's taken me this long to talk about the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray! I've had it for around a couple of months now and have to say I'm pretty darned impressed.

Urban Decay Setting Sprays are one of those cult beauty products that seem to do the rounds amongst makeup enthusiasts but I had never got round to actually having my own bottle. I knew plenty about it but finally picked up the travel size, 30ml, at a masterclass with the beautiful Kirsty. I didn't realise the All Nighter Setting Spray came in a travel size and at £9.00 I think it's perfect for trying it out before splurging on the full size.

All Nighter Setting Spray is oil free, paraben free and has temperature control technology to help prevent shiny t-zones and redness. I didn't realise there were so many different setting sprays but the All Nighter is Urban Decay's best seller and it had only just come back into stock on the day I bought mine!

To use, simply finish your whole makeup look and spritz in an X shape on your face! It's super light on the skin, you can't feel a thing once it's settled, and doesn't leave you with any tackiness. Don't worry about your makeup feeling wet and sticky afterwards either - that was a concern of mine, after all you're spraying moisture on your face - this dries down within seconds of contact with the skin and acts like a sealant on your finished makeup look. There's not much of a scent to it but it's pretty fresh if you do pick up on anything.

I tend to use the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray on nights out mainly or if I know I have a long day with things going on after work. If my budget stretched to using it every day though I probably would because it really does work. I can have a heavy eye makeup on for a night out, get a heck of a lot of dancing on and still look fairly put together come the early hours. My only note? Make sure you double cleanse after using it. I always double cleanse when I use primers and SPF and I class this as a similar product on the skin so make sure you're pores and nice and cleansed!

Have you tried any of Urban Decay's Setting Sprays?

  2. I've always wanted to try the UD sprays but been put off by the price. Now I know there's a mini version though I'll definitely be trying to get my hands on one.
