Top Three | Benefit

Happy Sunday, ladies! Hope you've all had a wonderfully Christmassy weekend so far. I spent yesterday wrapping presents, last night having birthday celebrations for my other half's sister and today...well, I'm wrapping more presents! Yay, Christmas!

Enough of those festivities for a moment though, let's talk Benefit. Benefit are one of those brands that I think everyone yearned for as a teen, when you're just getting into makeup the fun packaging sucks you in.. and still does for me. Makeup is supposed to be fun and, as much as I love the luxe design of Chanel et al, it's nice to see a brand still mirroring the creativity makeup gives you. So what are my top three?

Benefit Hervana link
I love this blush. In the box it doesn't look like much, in fact when you swatch it it barely shows up, but when it's on the skin it gives such a natural flush of colour. The peaches, pinks, corals and fuchsias blend together so wonderfully to compliment pretty much any makeup look you go for. This is my ultimate favourite for a red lip day - understated yet still gives some light and freshness to the skin.

Benefit Watts Up link
Ohh my, this is one beautiful little tube! If you want a show stopping highlighter, this is your guy. I adore creamy highlighters because they blend so, so well and this really packs a punch. I reach for Watts Up when it's a night out or when I'm just feeling a little fancy for work. It's got more of a warm tone to it making it great for summer but heck, I wear this all year round. Bring on the glow!

Benefit Rockateur link
Another box blush but something a little different to Hervana. In fact, very different. Rockateur is one of the newest box blushes Benefit offer and has a stunning rose gold tint to it. I've not seen a blush quite like this one and it works great at contouring and giving you a flush in one. It has a slight shimmer to it but it's more of a glow. An absolute stunner that you have to check out next time your at a Benefit counter.

A little tip too - those brushes that come in the box blushes? Don't bother with them for the blush but keep them to one side for your contouring - they're slim, narrow and make great tools for carving those cheekbones out!

What are your favourite Benefit products?

  1. Ohh I really want to try Watts up next! I really like my high beam highlighter from benefit, I love cream highlighters - so easy to use. I of course love They're Real as well! x
