An Anastasia Brow Wiz Dupe?

First of all - Happy Bank Holiday, peeps! I love this time of year because of all the long-weekends and this time round I'm actually off work so I can embrace the 3-dayer. Granted it'll be full of cleaning the house, food shopping and visiting parents but it's still nice to switch off the 4am alarm for an extra day.

Anastasia's Brow Wiz is one of those cult products that circles the blogosphere but at £15.50 and only available online, it's not something I've been drawn to. I prefer being able to see products in the flesh, especially brow stuff because the colour can be really off sometimes, so I've been looking for an alternative that I could see in store and maybe even a little cheaper. Say hello to bareMinerals Frame & Define Brow Styler!

It looks pretty much identical to the Brow Wiz - with the wind up pencil and a spoolie on the other end - and it does come in a little cheaper varying between £10-£13 depending where you buy it. I really love using crayon eyebrow products, the Soap and Glory Archery was my first dabble, because it gives a much more natural finish. The crayon on this is much slimmer that the Archery one which I prefer because I can build up the shape of my brow with finer lines making them look more like real hairs. It may take longer, but the finished look is so much better. I have the shade Universal Light which is ideal for my ashy brown brows. Sometimes brow pens can pull a little red but this is a really good match. I think it'd work well on blonder brows too with a lighter hand. There's also Universal Dark for darker brows.

The little spoolie on the end is really useful, I like to alternate with the crayon and spoolie as I go to make sure the colour is blending an keeping everything natural. Having it on the end just makes this really easy. Lasting power is great. I haven't had to touch them up and like to seal it all in place with a clear mascara anyway to further ensure it stays put.

All in all I really love this and have already re-purchased it. However, that is the only downside - I've found it doesn't last very long. The crayon is so soft it seems to be used up really quickly. Although, it doesn't out me off as when I ran out of my first, I went back to using a brow brush and shadow but it just wasn't the same so I just had to get another Brow Styler!

Have you tried the Frame & Define Brow Styler?
