"If You Can't Eat It, Don't Put It On Your Face" | Tropic Skincare

First of all, apologies for being a little MIA over the past week. There's been some bits and bobs going down and the last thing I've wanted to do is blog... but this post it about something I couldn't keep to myself! I've tried to think of how to start this in the sanest way possible, but I just cannot contain my excitement! Ok, so this post is going to be a huge rave about Tropic Skincare. Ready? Ok...

So this all started when my Mom went for a facial at her gym. She came back singing the praises of this oil they'd used from Tropic Skincare and how great it felt and how it was free form all nasties. She went on to tell me how it was the baby of The Apprentice star Susan Ma. At this point, I was like oh yeah I know all about that and kind of shrugged it off. However, my mother booked me in for a complimentary facial at the same place and, like any beauty-fan, I was so up for that.

I was seen by a lady called Shirley. She's an ambassador for Tropic Skincare but her passion for the brand never came across as pushy or exaggerated. She first cleansed my skin with the Smoothing Cleanser. This felt amazing on my skin, the oils really melted away the remains of my makeup and it smelt incredible! The Green Tea and Eucalyptus gave off this real spa-like scent, it didn't strip my skin and left my complexion instantly brighter. Next Shirley gave my skin a good scrub using the Face Smooth Polish. This smelled insanely good! It has Acai berries in it to brighten everything up and felt like it was really drawing all the dirt out without being too harsh. She pointed out a few blemishes I had on my forehead and around my chin so focused on tackling those. Afterwards, they really had near enough vanished, I was really surprised. The product is literally made up of oil and sugar. She told me this is why Susan Ma says 'If you can't eat it, don't put it on your face" and that Lord Sugar has been known to eat it during talks and demonstrations!

Now my skin was cleansed and scrubbed, she went on to tone and moisturise. Firstly the Vitamin Toner, with it's calming cucumber and camomile, was spritzed over my face followed by a healthy dollop of Skin Revive Firming Nourishing Cream that has tons of extracts in it like rosehip, blueberry, raspberry and sea kelp. The toner really did cool down my skin and it just sucked up the cream like nobody's business!

Then came my second favourite part of the routine, the Organic Facial Elixir Oil - which is pictured above. A pure blend of pomegranete, kiwi, rosehip, golden jojoba and moringa oil literally awakened my skin like no other and left it super bright and fresh. That's how I'd describe most of this range - fresh. Everything really is in it's purest form, with zero parabens and nasties. I could bang on about the purity of it for pages and pages but there's lots on their website about it all. All I want to say is that I'm not one to only go for pure organic products, and in a way even if Tropic Skincare wasn't so natural I'd still love it. But, the fact it is just makes it even better!

And finally, my favourite part of the whole experience. The Eye Revive Firming Cream was lightly patted under my eyes and under the brow bone followed by the ridiculously incredible Eye Refresh Roll-On. The Cream instantly started tightening the skin, not in a bad way, in a way that makes you think Yes, this is working!. Then the Roll-On... ohh the Roll-On. It's a metal rollerball that cools the skin as you apply it and my oh my it really did get rid of my under eye bags and dark circles like nothing I've used before! I mean seriously, can you see any severe dark circles in that picture above? No, nada. Little story behind the Roll-On: Susan Ma pitched the skincare line to Lord Sugar but he was disappointed there was nothing targeted for men, namely his dark circles, so Susan went away and created the Roll-On!

I also got to have a peek at the Warming Mineral Mask, the Radiant Clay Mask, the Body Love Buttercream (which literally smells like lemon cheesecake) and a barrage of makeup including a NARS-worthy Blush Sculpting Palette.

That little selfie is a completely fresh faced me, zero makeup just layers of these beautiful products from Tropic Care. I think it speaks for itself on how effective it all is, but if you want to know more read up on the website. I really do want to get my hands on the Eye Refresh Roll-On, the masks and that incredible Elixir Oil! It's all super affordable too, I think the products mentioned range from around £12 - £30 so nothing that'll break the bank.

So thank you Shirley, thanks Mom for introducing me to the brand and thanks Susan Ma for creating a wonderful brand like Tropic Skincare. Now, I'm going to shut up as this is already essay-worthy.

Will you be trying Tropic Skincare?
