I think I can safely say my love for makeup up is quickly being balanced out by my love for skincare - maybe even overtaken by! Over recent years I've come to realise a makeup look is only as good as the canvas so it's best to look after your skin to make the most out of all those pretty palettes.
A recent product I'm trialling is Antipodes Apostle Skin Brightening & Tone Correcting Serum*. I've dabbled in Antipodes before and loved the results so thought it was about time I branched out. My complexion always suffers from slight redness but has been looking a little lack lustre recently. Sure, a few radiance boosting products go a long way but as I said - fix the canvas and you're a step ahead already!
Antipodes Apostle is a water-based serum that aims to tackle pigmentation, uneven skin tone and a dull complexion. It's packed full of fruity extracts with things like kiwi for a natural exfoliant and red grapes to soothe the skin and it sure does smell like a fruit salad! I have to admit, the scent took me by surprise at first - it's not chemical or synthetic, it's actually very natural but the bundle of fruitiness did take a little getting used to. The product is really quite runny and a bright red which is kinda fun and you use a pipette to dispense it onto your hands. I use around a penny sized amount for my whole face but work quickly, this stuff dries fast!
So does it work? Well I've been using it for around a month now and can safely say I think my skin is in the best condition it's been in for a very long time! Sure, I have a few hormonal breakouts but it's brighter and the redness is definitely less noticeable. At £43.99 it's a pricey product sure, but you're paying for such an incredible, organic piece of kit that I think it's worth it. Plus, I think it'll last me a fair while!
Have you tried Antipodes Apostle?
