My love for deep berry shades in autumn/winter is no secret - I think I have an
After I saw the beautiful Amelia sporting Grandest Grape in her October Favourites, I new it had to be the one to break into the Chubby Stick phenomenon. I know, right - where have I been? I've used similar formulas from Revlon and Bourjois but the original is, well, the original.
Grandest Grape is a gorgeous deep raspberry and a little more pink than the shades I already own - see? Justified already. It glides on beautifully without any tugging and the pen-type applicator makes it super easy to get a gorgeous neat finish. The balmy texture is what sells it for me because it feels so hydrating and lightweight which is perfect for this cold weather. It doesn't last particularly long on the lips but it does wear down to a beautiful stain which looks just a good. Due to the super easy application, I've been able to top this up whilst sat at my desk mirror-free. Skills. I've been wearing it really layered to get a full pop of colour and also just dotted and pressed into the lips for that stained effect.
At £17 it does put itself into a high-end category but I fully believe it's well worth it for that special colour.
The question now is - which should be next Clinique Chubby Stick?
