The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask

Good morning and welcome to another chilly day in the UK! It's seriously cold this morning, -3 when I was in my car at 5am on the way to work - ouch! So advice for you all today - wrap up warm! Speaking of warm...

Last night I tried out a recent purchase from The Body Shop, the Warming Mineral Mask. I'd tried this out in store before Christmas but forgot to pick it up. I've tried warming masks before, like The Sanctuary one, but found them a little drying so with this being more creamy I was intrigued to say the least.

The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask aims to open up pores and help declog all the nastiness as it warms up on your skin. It's a clay treatment but doesn't dry hard on your skin like other clay masks which I really enjoyed because it made removing it way easier - much less tugging on the skin. The heating up aspect is pretty intense, as soon as I applied it the mask began heating up before I'd even finished applying it all over my face. Yes it gets pretty warm but it only lasts for a minute max - this is only meant to be left on for 5 so overall not too bad. I find it really relaxing but I'd recommend trying it on the back of your hand in store to see whether you'll find it uncomfortable.

As for the results, my skin seemed to appear a little brighter as soon as it had been removed. Because it didn't dry hard, there was no redness when I removed it unlike with other clay masks. I had a couple of under the skin blemishes which, by this morning, had some to a head and I've now 'tackled' (re: popped). Overall things felt very clean, not stripped, and I think it'd do even better when my skin is being particularly problematic. It's recommended to be used a couple of times a week so I'll pop this on later this week and see if things improve anymore. For £10 though I think this is a brilliant little tube of good skin!

I have a sneaky sample of The Body Shop's new Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask to try which I'll be reporting on soon - stay tuned and follow me here to be the first to know when it goes live!

Have you tried The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask?

Fab review, I always find warming masks really weird when they start heating up on your skin. However this does sound really lovely, especially if they speed up blemishes :)

  2. I love skincare from The Body Shop, but haven't tried this one yet. Lately I've been really liking the Mask of Magnaminty from Lush.
