Smoky Sunday | MAC Mulch & Satin Taupe

Who says a smoky eye has to be kept for nights out and meals at restaurants with dim lighting? I say throw caution to the wind and pull out those shades on a Sunday - just 'cause.

MAC's Satin Taupe and Mulch are the first (and only) pans to make it into a palette! I picked them up after seeing them mentioned several times by fellow beauty bloggers and thought the shades were ideal for my green peepers. I'd like to add a natural matte shade and a berry shade to the palette - suggestions welcome!

As usual, they're super buttery and blendable - I like using my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush (I expressed my love for RT earlier this week) - and work together like a dream. Both can be swished across the lid alone or use Mulch (the bronze) across the lid with Satin Taupe in the crease. Today though, I used MAC Paintpot in Painterly as a base with Satin Taupe in the crease and a little Mulch on the inner corner of the crease.

It's a very subtle effect which makes it perfect for day-to-day but a little more adventurous than my standard look - if you can't experiment on a Sunday, when can you?

I finished the look with my standard slick of liner, lashings of L'Oreal's Voluminous mascara and Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick.

What's your Sunday look?

Love this look! I haven't used these two eyeshadows in so long, think I will have to break them out again. And the lip colour is gorgeous!
