Big Hair Don't Care | L'Oreal Studio Line #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray

If there was ever an award for the longest product name, I'm pretty sure the L'Oreal Studio Line #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray would be in the running. Maybe even claim the gold medal. Let's just call it TXT, shall we?

We've all heard of the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray. You know, the one that's £40 a bottle? Yeah that one. Now don't get me wrong, I'd love me some Oribe but my purse strings say otherwise. That's why I was so up for trying this offering from L'Oreal. The TXT spray is essentially meant to do the same thing - a few spritzes(?) and it's as though you've taken a backcombing brush through the roots in seconds, minus the damage. So, does it? See for yourself...

Before...

After... BAM.
Although the images pretty much speak for themselves, I'd just like to say a few words. This stuff rocks. Ok I'm done... yeah, not really. Seriously though, I was really impressed! I hadn't held out much hope seeing as not many drugstore equivalents, particularly haircare, hold up their end of the bargain but L'Oreal have hit the nail on the head.

It feels almost wet when it comes out, similar to the backcombing spray from Umberto Giannini, but unlike the latter it doesn't leave the hair feeling crispy. I simply spritz it into the roots and then through the mid curls to give it some body - throwing your hair upside down and getting right into the hairline of your neck works a treat too. I doubt it'd need hairspray but if it's going to be a long day a little hairspray wouldn't go a miss. My hair feels crazy thick with the TXT spray, something I struggle to achieve because I have such fine hair so I can honestly vouch for the credibility of the product.

At a mere £3.49 a pop, everyone should have this in their collection. All they need to do is release a mini size for my handbag and Oribe will be outta my mind. Almost.

Anyone else tried this?
