Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Eyeshadow Palette in Infamous Sky

A few days ago I shared with you the new foundation launch from Estee Lauder but today is the turn of the beautiful new palettes - the Pure Color Envy Eyeshadow Palette*. They actually come in 12 different variants with a mix of different shades and colour combinations meaning there truly is something for everyone. I was kindly sent the Infamous Sky palette and boy, it's good.

Housed is the most luxurious navy and gold, the shades inside mirror that of the packaging. It's rather a large palette although it's still compact enough to travel with and with a huge mirror inside the lid as well as two, albeit a tad useless, sponge brushes you've kind of got everything you need. Yes, I favour using any other shadow brush I own but if you're in a rut these will do perfectly fine.

Colour wise, there aren't any names but I'll give a brief description of each one. First off the long thin strip of creamy white. It's a matte shade, the only one in the palette, that's ideal for highlighting the brow brown. Then the top left shade is a cool toned gold that's not majorly pigmented but makes a lovely all over the lid shade. Next to that is a silvery blue that can be built up for full impact or swept lightly for a subtle wash of colour. Below that is another gold but this one is warm toned and much more pigmented. I think this is the one I'll get the most use out of because it's so versatile. It works alone as well as blended in with the other shades, a really useful colour. And finally we have the star of the show, the deep navy with flecks of gold shimmer. This is such a beautiful colour! It's really pigmented and works beautifully in the crease, on the outer edge of the lid of smudged into the bottom lash line. I also think this will look stunning all over the lid when you want to go all out smokey eye.

The formula of each the shades within the Pure Color Envy Eyeshadow Palette in Infamous Sky are second to none. Shelling out £40 for these will be worth every penny because you won't be disappointed. In the look above I used every shade in the palette and all of them blended beautifully - even with my minimal eye makeup skills - meaning the whole thing was a breeze. They're soft but not chalky, what more could you ask for?

Versatility wise this little thing packs a punch. The matte white could be used over the lid for a simple every day neutralisation shade, the two golds are lovely for during the day, especially the warmer toned one all over the lid. Then we have the two blue shades, the lighter one I like over the lid with the navy in the crease and the navy itself will take you right into the night when you want to smoke things out. There really are so many different looks you could create with the Pure Color Envy Eyeshadow Palette in Infamous Sky and it's the same with all the other palettes in the range; Untamed Teal has really caught my eye next!

Will you be picking up one of the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Eyeshadow Palettes?
